Tarot cards are the perfect magical tool. Tarot cards operate on a different energy level than herbs, foods, candles, or incense. Tarot cards do not grow from the ground, nor do they have a season of vigorous growth. The Tarot is a metaphysical machine that originated in human consciousness. It communicates through symbols. The archetypes of the Tarot are powerful and embedded in our psyches. We can enter the card like through a gate. We enter an altered state - a subtle world that exists between nature and imagination, where anything becomes possible. This is where real change happens. This is where we change the shape of our hearts. We are able to access and open hidden parts and parts of ourselves that may otherwise lie dormant. This opens up new possibilities.
For the Spell in this series, you can use any tarot card that you feel has a strong magical connection. Use a separate tarot deck separate from your other uses, a tarot deck for spell purposes only.

Use this spell when you want to turn over a new leaf, replace old habits with new ones, and mark a new cycle in your life.

The Death card represents endings and marks moments of transformation. Fools fearlessly move toward new realities and possibilities. White roses represent purity. White represents a new beginning and a blank slate.
Place the Death card on the left. Immerse yourself in the image of the Death Card.
Listen carefully: what do you hear: music, wind, voices? Can you hear the sound of horse hooves? A lifeless king lay on the ground. He represents what is past, what is done, and what is accomplished. A girl in white turns away from the skeleton in fear, moving forward like time. Like the child in blue, you look up in wonder at Death and his gifts. The sun rises between the two towers. You usher in a new dawn, release the past, and let go of what no longer serves you.
Place the Fool card on the right and immerse yourself in the image of the Fool card.
Morning sunlight spills through the Death card, filling the Fool’s card with the vibrant lemon-yellow light of midday.
Drag the Fool card over the Death card so that the Fool card sits on top of the Death card. Hear the wind of opportunity blowing over the mountains.
Pick up your white rose. This is the symbol of a fool. Smell the flower and admire its petals and beauty. Place this on your desk to remind you of the fresh possibilities that the New Year brings.
You can add herbs, crystals, oils, etc. according to your own traditions.
