The ninth chakra is located at the center of the universe. It is outside time and space; it extends across the vastness of space and is connected to the eighth chakra by a luminous cord. Shamans can pass through this rope and experience the vastness of creation. For lack of a better name, we call this center a chakra. In fact, it is the abode of the Great Spirit. It exists outside of the individual soul, which binds us to space-time continuity and salvation, and is related to the eighth chakra. It is the soul of all things in the universe. The beholder is all that is observed.
The ninth chakra is the immortal “I”. The Self is before time and has never entered the river of time. It preceded space and existed before the universe manifested itself. This is the self that never left the Garden of Eden.
The process of the ninth chakra is the ability to keep secrets, even to yourself. The secret is that, long ago, the infinite power of God as we know it decided to experience itself from its place in the formless void. Thus, it manifested 12 billion years ago as a monad from which all matter in our universe was formed. Infinite power continues to explore itself through various life forms such as grasshoppers, whales, planets and moons. However, because the Infinite Force is omnipresent and omniscient, each of its manifestations also possesses these qualities. Therefore it must keep its essence secret even to itself, in order to know itself through its ten thousand forms. When this center is awakened, it emits a low, rumbling laughter that echoes through the mountains and fills the sky.
