The witch has two magic books, one is called Grimoire and the other is called Book of Shadows.
Grimoire: A place where learned information is stored. Spells, ritual structures and any information such as plant correspondences, notes, anything related to magic are here.
Book of Shadows: A place where secrets are kept. Such as the spells you create and cast, their results, your dreams, etc.
History of Wicca
Wicca is a very subtle and evolving religion whose history begins with the teachings of Gerald Gardner. Wicca was founded to commemorate and spread the witchcraft teachings of Margaret Murray, the Thelema philosophy of Aleister Crowley, and the Italian folk Wicca traditions collected by Charles Leland. All of these works have a theme of reviving ancient pagan beliefs and religions.
Gardner was a member of the New Forest Coven in England in the late 1930s, and he collected notes about these different traditions before founding the New Forest Coven.
Gardner Wiccan tradition, which was first produced in the 1940s. Gardner was the first to use the word Wicca (although he spelled it “Wica”) to refer to the Wicca tradition - writing about it in his 1954 book Wicca Today. In the 1950s, Doreen Valiente became a priestess in the Gardnerian Weka tradition. She was instrumental in adapting the written works of Coven.
Wicca falls under the umbrella of paganism, but is strictly a form of neo-paganism. Paganism covers the ancient religions of history, while neopaganism refers to modern religions inspired by these traditions. While each neo-Pagan path is different, many share an ethic of “do no harm,” promoting religious freedom, reverence for nature, gender equality, and inclusion of all sexual orientations. Although Wicca began as an attempt to revive ancient traditions, it has evolved into a way for people to escape the constraints and dogma of organized religion and embrace spirituality. Its core philosophy is acceptance of all life - regardless of race, color, gender, age, national origin, cultural background or sexual orientation.
It should be noted that although Wicca believers are pagans, not all witches believe in Wicca, and not all Wicca believers engage in Wicca practice. Witches can choose whether to follow a religious path, while Wicca believers may not all practice magic.
Although not all Wicca worshipers practice magic, it is an integral part of manifestation and growth. Magic is defined as transformation or change for an intended purpose. Energy can be harnessed, transferred, manipulated and charged according to your desires and intentions. When you perform a spell, a ritual with purpose, you are creating magic.
