Until the end of June 2020, all of my classes were in-person, but then COVID-19 started. Although I was skeptical at first, my desire to take Karuna’s master class overcame my initial reservations. I received my Holy Fire® III Karuna Reiki® Master’s Ignition and Certificate on the last weekend of June. I appreciate the opportunity to do distance healing with people outside of my family and friends, and to use the Karu Reiki Na symbols and become more familiar with their subtle energy differences.

When I had my first session, I prepared the room and asked Reiki to guide me through the session. I was apprehensive about having a Byosen scan, I’ve done a lot of them face to face, but the long distance one was the first time. I put a pillow on my lap and use it as a substitute while I imagine where my hands will be on my body as I move them across the pillow.

I received the message loud and clear about the areas I needed to work on. I sensed that my client was experiencing a headache and my gut told me to focus on the neck and shoulder area. I was also directed to focus on the sacrococcygeal and root areas. It didn’t take long for me to notice that the areas where I intended Holy Fire® Reiki to flow on my clients directly corresponded to the same locations on my body. I experienced intense energy there, sometimes to the point of being uncomfortable.

I spent extra time at her feet to ground her before finishing the session. I gave her enough time to discuss her experience when she was ready. She confirmed that she had headaches and that she had a problem with her cervical spine that was causing pain in her shoulders. She mentioned having issues in the pelvic area, and I think women hold a lot of negative energy there, so I like to stay in that area a little longer.

I encourage anyone who is considering taking a Reiki class but is hesitant to do so because the class is online rather than in person. You won’t be disappointed. The energy is pure and powerful, the ignition/initiation is magnificent and magical. Looking back now, it worked even better than I thought it would. I experienced profound healing in the short time I spent practicing Karuna Reiki®. I recommend this course to anyone who has been considering a Reiki practitioner. This is the greatest gift you can give yourself. Best of all, it keeps on giving.
